Being a home-owner is a big thing in any middle class person's life. It might not be a big thing

for someone with a bungalow in South Delhi or for someone with multiple farmhouses in

Mumbai but to an average Indian middle class person, it is one of the biggest things of their life.

Same is true for our family as we had to stay in a rented place for 18-19 years and had to

compromise I don't know how many times just because where we lived was a rented place, and

the same can be true for any other person who lives or has lived in a rented flat or apartment.

Now, why did we have to live in a rented place for 19 years, you might ask? It's not as if it was

for lack of trying on my father's part. It was just life playing a harsh prank on us. What had

happened was that my father had paid some money (close to 7 lacs) back in 2005 and it was

really a big amount back then, to buy some land in the posh area of Civil Lines in Allahabad, but

before the agreement could be signed, the land-owner, who was a man in his 70s, had a

cardiac arrest and died leaving behind his 3 sons who were whimsical at times with their

conditions when it comes to finalising the agreement. So a large part of my father's savings was

therefore stuck at the mercy of 3 brothers who had little to no intention of signing the land

agreement deal. And therefore, the legal proceedings began, which lasted for around 7 years

and in the end, an out-of-court settlement was reached between them and my father wherein

they returned the money that my father had given. And my father, who had his eyes set up on

another land which was also in a posh area and closer to where we were staying currently,

bought the land and after the bhoomi-poojan and similar rituals construction began on the site.

Now, my parents, who had dreamed of owning a place of their own for 20+ years wanted the

house to be strong and relentless like their belief, asked around and found out that Ultra-tech

grey cement will be the best choice for the construction after it was suggested by our architect

who was a friend of my father's as well as several masons as well. And hence, it was decided

that this particular product from the Aditya Birla Group will be the foundation of our home and

my parents 20+ years dream of owning a home. So, heartiest thanks from me and my family as

well as other middle class Indian families who have dreamt of owning a home and have been

helped in realizing this dream by the Aditya Birla Group.
