Aditya Birla is changing the aura around my life!
Aditya Birla is an Indian conglomerate operating in 35 countries all over the globe. It has products ranging to almost all scope of life. I usually do not realize the innumerable number of products I use of this large company. There might not be direct usage of the products rather usage of products made of Aditya Birla products.
The necessities in life (housing, clothing, communication, transportation, etc.) are provided by this company. The house I live in is made of Ambuja Cement, an Aditya Birla brand. I keep my clothes in an almirah made of aluminum made by the Aditya Birla Group. My go to shop, Pantaloons, belongs to Aditya Birla. A majority of the shirts I gift my father namely Louis Phillipe, Allen Solly, Peter England belong to this Indian conglomerate. During my school days, my mother used to wrap the food in my tiffin box in Freshwrappe Aluminum foils to keep the food fresh and warm. Then I did not know that the foil belonged to ABGPL and now it came as an eye opener to me while I was researching about the company. The company has enabled communications being the largest mobile telecommunications network in India. Vodafone Idea limited has been my service provider since the time I’ve started using a mobile phone.
The list will never really to come an end. I can keep going on and on regarding the products and the ways in which Aditya Birla has influenced and changed my life.
How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far.
While I was in the final year of my graduation, I had a very important decision to make. A decision that would change the direction of my life. The decision of what I wanted to do after my graduation. I started my CAT coaching classes with an aim to get into a B-school. I did not score very well in my first attempt at the entrance and was thus faced with a choice between getting into a not-so-good business school and taking a one year drop in my academics. I was even advised to take a job and I did give it a shot. After going to several job interviews, I realized what I wanted. I ultimately took a break, sat back at home and prepared for my entrance examinations yet again. I did question my decision many a times because sitting back at home for one whole year is not an easy task. I overcame all those inhibitions and answered all my entrances.
My CAT scores were not very good even this time. CAT results had come out the evening before the XAT. I almost lost all the confidence I had. I somehow answered XAT and CMAT, scored well in those two exams and got calls from a number of good colleges. I converted my call from Goa Institute of Management and here I am writing about the challenges I overcame as a student of this prestigious institute.
