"sā vidyā yā vimuktaye"

(Knowledge is One the Liberates)

The above Sanskrit phase was the motto of my school—The Aditya Birla Public School, Kesrol.

So, it would be right to say that I am a product of ABG. ABG has not only touched my life with the wide range of products that they sell but the very fabric of my understanding of the world around me. The values, the discipline and the courage that drives the group are also expected and imbibed in the students from this great institution.

I completed my schooling from Bharuch in Gujarat. Dahej, a cargo port town, 50 km away from Bharuch is the base for The
Birla Copper factory and by its virtue, we had our school build equidistant from both Dahej and Bharuch. I spent 5 years at the school and learned a great deal about the things in life such as the way to execute your dreams, the direction to invest efforts etc.

As like most of us, those childhood days were the Golden Days of my life as well. Those are some care-free days when you spend your time with friends, experiment with different things and get satisfied with little things in life. Those everyday small surprises such as the tiffin, what I have got for lunch from Mom’s kitchen and unwrapping the Freshwrapp, savouring the sumptuous meal made me happy. Although, a tiny bubble – the happiness overpowers every other emotion of sadness in that phase of life.

Not only that shopping at stores like Allen Solly, Pantaloons, Louis Phillipe etc. have been a common activity and almost a tradition for me and my family carried through time. In conclusion, I would say that, ABG as an ‘Idea’ Has truly Changed my Life.

Thank you ABG for all that love.

“Time heals everything, just hold your Ground”

I am an ambitious person with high expectations from myself. There is a constant effort within me to push my limits and achieve great things in life.

So, I would jump to the days when I was working in an IT company, straight out of college. I had my eyes on pursuing an MBA from the 2nd year of engineering. Engineering for me was less of a choice and more of getting a degree, and as the years unfolded, I knew that engineering was not the absolute fit for me.

At my, although “9 – 5” job, which sometimes stretched to about 12 hours, finding time to study for CAT was a challenge. Before, that I had given CAT 2015 in my final year of engineering but could not clear. Now fast forward 2017, I had no time to attend any classroom course which I had attended earlier. So, the only way forward was self – study.

As a way forward, I started waking up early in the morning and started to study for at least 2 – 2.5 hours and after coming home from work for another 2 hours. All this would not have been possible if I hadn’t fixed my goal. For me, Cracking CAT was the summit of the mountain and I had made it my mission to climb.

With continuous efforts, I was able to crack it and finally get into IIM Raipur. And since then, I have never looked back. This has been one of those roller coaster part of life and I learned a great deal from it.
