Part-A

Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life

Since childhood, there has not been any instance where Aditya Birla Group has not contributed in my development as a person. The Indian multinational conglomerate which is operating in 35 countries worldwide has left an immaculate mark in our lives in one way or the other. In every walk and in every age group of life Aditya Birla Group has made its mark. Ranging in diverse sectors such as cement industry, fashion, textile, telecom, financial services, ABG has impacted millions of lives throughout the globe since 1857. One sector from ABG which has contributed a lot in my life is the textile industry. As I shifted from childhood to adult age, my choice towards clothes changed drastically. There was a time where Pantaloons was the only outlet where I used to shop clothes from. The diverse range of collection in Pantaloons did not let me choose any other brand to purchase from. It has collection ranging from 2 years of age to 65 years, so people from any age group could come in and choose any set of garments of their choice. The other sector which impacted my life a lot was Idea Cellular. The connectivity which was the nitty gritty of Idea Cellular made a huge customer base. The call rates, the internet facility provided by the company was something which no one would forget at any point in their life. Hence, Aditya Birla Group is one of the most spectacular organization which has been there throughout different phases in my life and I am sure that I will be connected to ABG in the remaining phases of my life.

How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far

Life is a journey which has multiple hurdles to pass, but that’s the point in life where how you reply to that part matters. My journey of life has been quiet this way all along. Pursuing Engineering in Computer Science has always been my choice as I always had interest in computers. After graduation, as a fresher I joined an IT organization where I got ample amount of corporate exposure, industry learning, etc. But there has always been a part of mine who wanted to be a leader and that was the moment when I realized that MBA is the not only a degree, it is a passion. But the journey has been a roller coaster ride. It was the first day of my preparation when I checked the syllabus of an MBA entrance examination. Being from engineering background, I had sound knowledge in different fronts. But the preparation had to be of different level all together. I knew it’s going to be difficult as I had different set of responsibilities towards my organization and expectations from them. But I was firm and determined about my MBA. The journey ahead was not going to be easy, but I realized that this is what I want. I made a schedule for myself, cutting off my sleep from 8 hours to 4 hours. Waking up early at 4 A.M, reading for the next 4 hours before going to the office. Taking out time in between in my work hours to practice different set of questions. No body asked me to pursue MBA, neither my parents forced me to do so. But they were with me always whenever I felt low through out the journey. It was my decision to choose this path and I was ready to face any situation in between. After working hard for 730 days, giving up on my friends, my social life and almost cutting myself from everywhere, I succeeded and that was the moment when I realized that nothing is impossible if you have that courage, determination and persistence in yourself. Just stick to what you want, be firm and you will be there.
