Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life.

Let me start with my life journey when it all began on 9th July 1994 in the smart city of Odisha, Rourkela, popularly Known as Steel and educational hub of the state. With the gradual passage of time, I had the privilege of shifting to multiple cities internally. That’s when I got a glimpse of ABG. From UltraTech Cement Unit in Arda Jharsuguda, Lapanga Aditya Aluminium, Hirakud Hindalco Industries Limited I was introduced to the concept of Aditya Birla and that resonated how BIG ABG can be in someone’s life.

The more I came to know about the diversified Business of ABG into Metal industries(Hindalco Aluminium & Birla Copper ), UltraTech Cement, Telecom sectors(Vodafone-Idea Limited), Financial Services, Textiles, Fashion & Retail, Carbon Black, Chemicals and Mining the more I fell in love with it. I still remember my childhood days when I used to visit Pantaloons, Vanheusen and Allen Solly stores as my preferred brand for shopping. There was Fani Cyclone in Odisha recently when all network connectivities were disrupted. But only Vodafone-Idea came to rescue with at least slight continuous signals available to connect with near and dear ones. Be it use of Freshwrap foils in home kitchen to Peter England, People & Planet Fashion premium clothing, ABG contributed all along the way.

Not just brands, since my school years I was good in academics and interested in Science. Being National Rank holder in 10th CBSE and parallelly diverse into extra-curricular, I had the opportunity to represent India in Japan as I got selected by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India under JENESYS Student Exchange program. Thus my journey from National to Global seems synchronous with the ABG tagline. The extraordinary experience is indelible. Coming from traditional family background, I have shaped my modern lifestyle to go in hand and last but not the least being responsible towards family and society.

How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far.

It all started back in 2009 when I was just freshly passed out of my 10th with distinction & excellent academics. It was a moment of joy for me and my family when I was awarded as the District topper in CBSE Board and achieved the National Top 10 category to brag of. Even I had many special moments to cherish for, received accolades, scholarships, international exchange programs nominated and I went on to pursue my interests in science field. Everything was going smooth till 12th & entrances when I cracked IITJEE EML & AIEEE and secured a seat in NIT Rourkela. But as aptly said “Nothing Lasts Forever”, Suddenly my life took a U-turn when I started facing social prejudices and peer pressure as I was not much into socializing and college stuffs. The first 2 years of my hostel life was terrible as I encountered drastic health issues. Obviously it affected my academics as I was unable to cope with the new lifestyle and was trying to find a way to deal with. Slowly I came to know about BrahmaKumaris and Art of Living, I got involved in daily activities to being pro-active in social engagements and conducting events as part of my institute Social Responsibility Cell (Aastha, The Social club of NIT R). Finally I got an identity and understood, In life it’s not always to go with the crowd but to be happy in your own unique way. By final year, the personality I worked upon myself and transformed into was inevitable, I got 3 dream offers which I still feel was worth it the experience. There are no regrets, just lessons for the future and most importantly how and what you take from it. From then on there’s no turning back and the spirit of passion, integrity, consistency, speed and commitment continues.
