"Magic happens when you don't give up even though you want to, the universe always falls in love with a stubborn heart." Yes, I believe in this and am trying to apply the same in my life. Challenges are the most important tests that life can throw at you, either you can overcome them and let them define your destiny or you can let them shatter you like glass. It was 25th December 2018 at 12:05 AM, I was in Indore pursuing my engineering. My 7th Semester exams finished and I stayed back to prepare for my MBA entrance exam when I received a call from my mother. She was in tears and I her words still resonate "Aayam come home, Something happened to your Father" I was very shocked. Perplexed and baffled I tried contacting my friends in my hometown to go to my house and to update about the status. Immediately I packed my stuff and set off for my hometown. I tried to contact my home again, my elder sister whose marriage was due in one month, picked up the call and said they are taking our Father to the hospital. I reached my hometown around 5:00 AM. Everyone gathered around my house the moment I entered and everyone just stared at me with questions in their eyes.I went inside to see my entire world crash down. The one who held my fingers to take me to strolls and those arms that carried me to the ice-cream stalls were lying down draped in whites and lamenters surrounded creating the eerie, that I never wished to see again. I burst into tears and wrapped myself around my sister and mother. I was shattered, broken down completely, I recollected myself to support my mother and sister. Eventually, I recollected myself and I realized I have to step up to the responsibilities which I have towards my family. I thought rationally and decided to not to cancel my sister's wedding which was on 28th January and convince my mother for the same. On 5th January our CAT results were declared it was the last day for my father's ritual. I told my mother about it. I decided to at least give interviews and then I will decide among all my options. First, my sister’s wedding as the priority, as being just 21, everything was new and unfamiliar to me. I remembered, "tough times require, tough people" I believed in myself and I along with my relatives, organized the wedding very gracefully. After the marriage, I prepared for my interviews along with handling our family business. On 21st May I received a call letter from IIM Raipur for admission into PGP program. I could see the happiness in my mother's eyes when I told her about this. This was my journey, I made it against all odds and am writing this from IIM Raipur campus. I miss my father very much, it was hardest thing to believe that he is no more but life carries on!  You should never give up, no matter what the conditions are!
