How big is ABG in my life?
The Aditya Birla Group is into a number of sectors and has been affecting our lives positively since a long time. But the part I can relate to, the most is Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. Right from Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly till Peter England, there is probably no one who hasn’t tried a fashion brand under the ABG umbrella and the same goes for me. I have tried all the brands mentioned here and probably find Louis Philippe the best. For someone who has got into the corporate sector, these clothing brands become a further integral part of their wardrobe because of the range and style they provide to make even the simplest of formal clothing look cool.
Furthermore, UltraTech Cement has also been a part of our life. UltraTech contributed to the making of our house. The trust and quality of UltraTech is unmatched and we went for the same and have never got a reason to regret our decision.
Coming to more day to day uses – Freshwrapp Aluminium foil used to wrap our food since our schooling days is a product of Hindalco and is one of the most widespread and commonly used products.
With a strong footing in every aspect of human life, Aditya Birla Group has surely achieved a special place in our day to day lives and to add to all this, the group with its social work is also doing its bit for the society and I personally wish the group to keep playing the role of a vital cog in this giant wheel of life.

How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life.
How do you define your ambition in life? For someone like me who has always believed in setting up short term goals and working towards it diligently, the definition would be very different as I have always believed in exploring and landing at the right place. Right from schooling, through B.Tech, job and finally landing up in an IIM, life hasn’t been so easy but it has been an entertaining yet challenging one. I believe whatever I have been doing till date, landing up and studying at IIM Raipur has been my best achievement. I used to work with Mindfire Solutions before coming here and juggling work and preparation for CAT was the first hurdle which many of my colleagues in different B-schools can relate to. But the real challenge was when a week prior to my joining at IIM, I met with an accident and broke my left leg completely. I had to be operated upon, was hospitalized for around 15 days and basic recovery took 15 more days. The entire recovery for my leg will take around 1.5 years. Despite everything, I joined the college and was helped by all the amazing people around me and I was comfortable again. I focused my energy on my studies and got into a club of my choice (Consulting and Entrepreneurship Club). My confidence had taken a serious hit and I wasn’t at my best. Making new friends and getting into the club was a real confidence booster and from there on I continued doing what I did best – setting short term goals and fulfilling them. It’s been a year and IIM Raipur is home now. I have become the coordinator of the Consulting and Entrepreneurship Club and I am committed and hungry to take up my next big challenge in life.
