Why ABG is big in my life?
When someone dreaming about something big or impossible then that person often hears from others that “ you are not Birla”, you can't fly that high that the achievement and height Aditya Birla group has reached. My encounter with the Aditya Birla group started when due to excessive rainwater level of river Yamuna had came to the danger mark and then govt decided to increase the water capacity holding limit by using temporary barrier and for that they used empty cement bags and filled with soil and then out of curiosity I went with my grandfather to see situation out there and then I see what was actually saving us from that flood you can really guess what cement bag it was.
Over the time Aditya Birla group gets bigger and bigger, better and better starting from fashion and retail brands like Louis Philippe, Allan Solly, Van Heusen, Peter England, when the word Fashion comes into my mind it basically reminds me clothing for Women particularly but brand like Planet Fashion which is specially dedicated to men make me feel good.
This is not all Aditya Birla groups reach has been spread over various sectors like telecom services, Vodafone, Idea is well known among various services also Financial Services like housing finance, general insurance. Its non ferrous metal’s business under Hindalco with Canadian company becomes the world’s largest rolled aluminum producer, In the textile industry Aditya Birla group has made a significant name and become the world's largest producer of viscose staple fiber, In terms of health and insurance its Birla Sun Life Insurance Co. Ltd. is the most popular one and other areas such as Jute goods, PVC floor covering and auto trims are the products and services which Aditya Birla group have.
Part B:
Challenges VS Me
To accomplish that much of achievement Aditya Birla group must have faced challenges which might look impossible to tackle at many times but through all hardship, Aditya Birla group managed to flourish enough to give its benefit at least to every citizen of India. Challenges are something everyone has to face to get to your full potential and I am not any difference, I clearly remember that when I was 4 to 5 years of age then I try hard to learn basic things but I just can't understand or able to learn it and after several attempts to do so I almost gave it up but my mother is someone who always have faith in me still i don’t know why, she is not very educated so could not help me much in my studies but always showed confidence in me, so what I did in that particular situation was to sit next to her while she was cooking, washing clothes or any other household things a mother does, it gave me confidence that I can do it and as a result I secured 2nd position in class and then Ist in 5th class.
In 2014 I cleared the CAT exam and got an invitation from four different IIM college and I went for an interview and I could not speak a single sentence well, it was a really eye-opening experience and I decided that an MBA is not for me, an MBA meant for different people who are more vocal, can put there idea clearly which I could not do so but after 4 years when I decided that I will start my own business and which I believe require understanding of market and business tools knowledge which I am lacking took me again to MBA and this time prepared well enough to get into IIMV. I believe it is just a start I have to cover miles like Aditya Birla already does.
