WHY ADITYA BIRLA GROUP IS IMPORTANT IN MY LIFE?
Something that is important signifies it has the tendency to affect our lives; either it motivates us or affects our emotions. Being born in a small town in Rajasthan (Alwar) most of us feebly remember it for its milk cake; life was apparently never a cake way for me. As a toddler I have seen my father carry essentials required for his dream home to be built all by himself so that we could have a strong roof at our head and he always believed in strong foundations and who else could he rely upon other than Ultra Tech. Aditya Birla Group has both the capability and means to change all our lives in a better way. During the late 90’s and early 2000’s when owning an AC or a Refrigerator was seen as a luxury, Aditya Birla Group made it possible by being instrumental in manufacturing the carbon black required by each one of them to function. After joining an IT organization I invested my money in various life Insurance policies like Birla Sun Life Insurance Co Ltd which came as a fruitful choice now, when I really needed a financial backup to sustain my own expenses for the coming two years. Their mutual fund investments are lucrative and safer to invest on even for people who are novice in the investment business.
From weaving a thread to becoming pioneers in the fashion world as well, giving us comfort and variety, adding colors and design to our ever unstoppable yet sometimes mundane life. Whenever there is a fight with a friend or you feel homesick or on the salary day, shopping is the best resort to cheer yourself up and the brands that ABG features in this field are known for their quality as well as affordable price. Now, being a student myself, yet again, when I see the neglect that ‘Education’, one of the hot topics strangely uncovered in all political debates and even out of media coverage is garnering, I feel helpless.Yet again ABG group living by setting their own examples have created numerous number of world class educational institutes, giving us the belief that somebody is really interested in developing and nurturing the future of this nation. Not only that, they have built a plethora of research institutes, hospitals and temples thereby preserving the aesthetic and cultural backdrop of the country. Being a part of a nuclear family, I have always seen a maximum of four people at home making the bond among us really strong. Marred by social and financially responsibilities, all of us are now at four different states making Idea cellular services the only lucrative way to stay connected with each other and not to turn apathetic in this technology driven world with virtual happiness only.
On a personal level, I am able to connect with the ideology of the Birla’s that is in line with today’s world, even after such cut throat competition as they stand for their principles of being slow yet effective, of not pouncing on just being the first in everything but be the last one to stand firm . We should be clear of what we stand for. Thus, Aditya Birla Group is really important in shaping my life right from the time, when I was a child; they were instrumental in providing all the basic amenities, to today’s time where I can use all their additional services, making life simpler and enjoyable.
How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far
Beginning from a small city in Rajasthan (Alwar), every stage of my journey has demanded an elevated level of struggle from me, in my aim to be distinguished. Since, pre-primary I used to participate in essay writing and debate competition and won a town level debate competition for six consecutive years, maintained my rank within top three till my secondary education. All of this made be insatiable and always wanted to be the best became not even one of the; but ‘the only prime motive in my life’, thus making me a little self-depreciating and arrogant.
I got a set-back when I got relatively less percentage in my senior secondary examination and later on even with the bachelor’s degree the stakes were very high for me but I couldn’t meet my own expectations. This led to a situation in which I just wanted to encircle myself with nothing other than my own thoughts, I began avoiding people, didn’t like to converse with anyone. I was not able to sleep for long continuous hours. The situation got worsened when these long hours continued to convert into days, resulting into chronic insomnia and even eating disorder. I gained thirteen kilograms and found myself in a loop of negativity engulfed by the pressure of not being the best. When all of this started taking a toll on even my relationship with my family and friends it made me realize that sitting in my comfort zone, I might feel like an achiever but if I look outside, there are far better people than me and I should never stop chasing the next level.
I began to take one step at a time and began to read self-motivating literature, success stories and started listening to music. Putting pen to paper provided me with a lot of solace and confidence. It calmed me down and engaging in meaningful conversations with people, trying to know their prospect towards life motivated me to set my priorities right. As a result, I worked even harder in my B.tech years and succeeded to earn significant number of opportunities where I highlighted my potential. I also co-ordinated and volunteered many extracurricular activities and events in my college. I got a campus selection with one of the prominent IT companies of India as a 'Systems Engineer', and I continued to compete and learn from the elite intellect of India who came here from almost every corner of our country. All of this really nurtured my personality which has gone void and self-consuming in the past few years. I began to realize that winning is not the be all and end all of life, it is more important to learn from your mistakes and grow as an individual in a healthy way.
