RANGALA PRITY REDDY

Aditya Birla, the man behind creating India’s first global corporation named Aditya Birla Group: a fascinating saga in Indian enterprise. Being the first group to introduce a new term for doing business during the 90s is really commendable. This group has its foot in any field one can name like non-ferrous metals, cement, carbon, textile business, fashion, planet fashion, telecom services, financial services. Sweden, UK, Myanmar, you just have to name them and ABG is all over. Spanning across 34 countries, a strong force of over 120000 employees belonging to 42 nationalities, this company never fails to make their presence felt wherever one goes. Personally, this group plays a very vital role in my life. Mostly for the apparels, Forever 21, Vanhuesen, Louis Philippe tops my list. I cannot count the number of times, I have visited ABG’s Planet fashion stores which has become my one-stop shopping solution. Ever since I was familiar with these brands, our relationship has been stronger day by day. They have laid a foundation for our existence. Also, when we evaluate in terms of business, the existence and growth of healthy competitors due to which there are possibilities of new substantial products makes our life easier. They have provided job opportunities to a hell lot of people in India and across. There was a legacy started by them and it is our responsibility to continue to do so. We can’t thank ABG group enough for whatever they have given us so far.

HOW I OVERCAME MY CHALLENGES?

It was started in 2016, when I got my joining letter for Wipro Technologies. I was sad, nervous and excited at the same time. Clueless as to what will my next phase be like, I somehow ended up in Pune for the training period. Then I was transferred to Hyderabad for the next two years. I guess being a mechanical engineer, ending up an IT job, that’s when I realized I was more interested in the management skills rather than the routine SAP job. But I must say, SAP is definitely a fun tool. So, back in 2018, I started preparing for my management exams. Since I was occupied with the 9 to 5 job, I had no clue as to how I would manage my studies as well as the work life. My best friend had converted his college for higher studies and had to leave the town. I was already gloomy, when I heard that some of my other friends also were leaving for either pursuing higher studies or job switch. I was going through a real difficult time as I didn’t know whom to go to when I was low or wanted to be surrounded by good familiar people. That time, I don’t know I was scared to get introduce to new people because it was a long time and I was happy being with my people and the comfort. I couldn’t focus on my studies neither my work. I used to freak out and cry often. During the same period my mother wasn’t keeping well and they stay at Assam. I thought I was in depression and didn’t feel like to be surrounded by people. I wish I had the guts to speak out to people and not to restrain myself from expressing. But I motivated myself that it’s now or never. I had to convert any of the top management college in the country. And here I am, sitting in the class and penning down my story of success.
