You must have heard your neighbours, relatives and your parents repeat the phrase “After IIT everything is set” multiple times while growing up. However, the fact of the matter is that even if you make into the prestigious IITs, it is not easy to get your dream job after 4 years of slogging. Vivek Sharma now an IIT Mandi alum went through the same problem. Even after being part of his college’s placement cell, he found it difficult to land his desired role, Product Management. He had to work really hard to get to the Product Manager role at Gaana, where he is today. This video is a perfect example of the phrase, “work hard till you succeed.” If you are someone who also has a product management dream in their eyes, then this video is a must-watch.
The CS course appeals to many not only because of the legal mandate that the CS position enjoys but also because secretarial audits, stakeholder management, and ability to impact decisions in an organizations are highly looked up to aspects of being a CS. Divya took up Healthcare Management as her preferred choice, when it came to taking a decision on which course she would like to take up from WeSchool. To attract meritorious students into research, the Government of India, in 2018 launched Prime Minister’s Research Fellows (PMRF) Scheme, which offers direct admission to such students in the PhD programmes in IITs, IISERs and IISc. The scheme is aimed at attracting the talent pool of the country to doctoral (PhD) programmes for carrying out research in cutting-edge science and technology domains, with a focus on national priorities.
