For Manavdeep Singh (currently a student of IIM Lucknow), the initial part of his life was full of highs. He was an academically successful person who did his Mechanical Engineering from Thapar University. He even got a PPO from Tata Motors. Manavdeep loved riding motorcycles, so when the opportunity in Honda opened up, he took it without hesitation. However, during a bike test, the brakes malfunctioned and he met with an accident. Everything started spiraling out of control from thereon. He had to be hospitalized, it was there when he decided to sit for the CAT exam. Despite being unable to sit up straight and study properly, he managed to score a 99%ile and was able to score a seat in IIM Lucknow. He even bagged a PPO in Amazon and will join the company in 2021.
Lakshya Kumar scored 99.99%ile in CAT 2019, the highest amongst non engineers to have written the exam in 2019. Also he started his CAT prep in Feb 2019, just 7 months prior to CAT. Lakshya's focus and clarity on writing the CAT and making it to IIM C is something every CAT aspirant will gain from.
