A Dollar And A Pound: What Makes SIBM Pune Unique - Akhilesh Bhamburkar

‘Just living is not enough; one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.’
The egg shell I had lived in for over 20 years had everything I needed- food and comfort, until one day I realized I needed more. I hatched from the shell, boarded a train to Pune, for I wanted to go to SIBM- a premier B-School of India. But I was scared and why wouldn’t I be, I was a chicken in a place that would have eagles.
If you ask me what love looks like, I will tell you about the cloud that sits above the hostel terrace, patiently waiting to pour down. I will tell you about the trees that shade all creatures alike, firmly standing along the road to college. I will tell you about the wind that soothes the soul and the whispers of the dawn birds, testifying the beauty of nature.
There is no one experience as such which I can name but it happens regularly when the professor is bombarded with the curiosities of all the students and the way every professor has a different style of tackling with it. The type, of course, does not matter, people are curious to learn these new things every-time and that's what makes the B-school learning nicer at SIBM, Pune.
My college SIBM, Pune the flagship college of the group resides in Lavale, Pune away from the hustle-bustle of the city atop a lush green hill. It gets hard to explain the beauty of it to someone who’ve not witnessed it himself (probably one of the times when you are at a loss of words). Believing the rumours and the things that you can check on the internet, one can place a safe bet that the campus is a class apart. When you drive towards the campus through the city, gradually the urban clamour vanishes away and you slowly start finding yourself heading towards a hoarding boldly glowing during the nights and welcoming you to the SYMBIOSIS campus.
A simple yet incomprehensible question that I seem to ask myself quite often only to leave me clouded. SIBM, Pune! Is it exaggerated? Overrated? Does it live up to its expectation as one among the best Business Schools in India? One may ask.
Yes, you got me right! That oxymoron sums it up for me here in this picturesque campus situated at the hilltop of Lavale. If there’s something called order in chaos, then this campus can be the non-living manifestation of the phrase.
Firstly, it is the best B-Schools in Pune. I hope I can say that..
