Gunajit Brahma, a recent pass-out from IIM –Indore hails from the north-eastern part of the country. He explored the entrepreneurial streak in him and set out to find his own venture: Jeevanksh.com , initially an organic produce marketing site. It has now expanded its ambit for procuring high-quality organic dailies like grains, vegetables and fruits from farmers guaranteeing them more than MSP. This brings into perspective social entrepreneurship in a profitable way.
When I met this serial entrepreneur in his office for the first time, I did not recognise him at all. I was expecting someone with a swag of IIM-B but he was so grounded and humble and when I entered his office, I luckily met him in the lift and I talked him about his office, work but forgot to ask his name and while moving towards his office I asked, "Which way to Sankalp's office?" He said I'm Sankalp. And I was like ok.

Two years ago, I was at every startup conference. I’d just launched my first startup, and was in the throes of the startup fever. I’d bought startup books, I’d spent hours watching Sam Altman and Paul Graham on Youtube, and of course I was attending startup conferences. That was the startup lifestyle, wasn’t it?
E-Cell and JAM (Juices and More) were set up together 6 years ago in IIM Indore. Since then it has been handed down to E-Cell members as a gift to use the profits for funding their activities and make E-Cell a financially independent body. JAM is at the center of the ever bustling life at IIM Indore with many club activities, events and bonfire nights taking place in its porch area. JAM has always been supported by the professors, who repeatedly use it as a case study in Finance and Operations classes.
