There's No Time To Stop And Stare
Our world today is extremely fast-paced, competitive, and ambitious. We work hard – very hard – for money, for recognition, for appreciation, and even at times, for a better appraisal. That is all perfectly fine and that is how it should be too. We all study diligently, try to get into the best of institutes, and perform to the best of our abilities all in the hope of a great career. So when we finally embark upon that journey, it is only logical that we put in all that we have to give. But is that all? Does being successful ensure peace of mind? This is what I aim to throw light upon. Of course, my insights are completely my own and are derived from my experiences so far.
My Journey to DMS,IIT Delhi
I came to know about CAT in my 3rd year of engineering when my friends started preparing for it. I too wanted to sit for CAT but then I came to know about the eligibility criteria of different premier B-schools that they look at your complete profile and not just the CAT percentile. Having weak academics I decided to work for few years and then give it a shot. My first attempt was in 2012 when I had around a year of work-ex and scored 81 percentile. Then I gave a serious thought to the preparation and joined an institute called Conduira 4 months before CAT 2013. This time I scored 99.2 percentile.
Chakravyuh'15 at IMT Ghaziabad
“Chakravyuh” the word itself brings forth the reminiscence of the antiquated war zone situation of Indian history. This term evokes the sense of wild rivalry, boldness and grandeur. At IMT Ghaziabad, Chakravyuh, the annual sports festival is no less than the war zone it symbolizes and has rightly built its reputation as the Olympics of B-schools in India. This event is being held as a custom since 1993 as a part of the 22 years old legacy of IMT to keep the sporting spirit alive. It has never failed to amaze the participants with its inexplicable splendor every year. The 23rd edition of this 72 hour non-stop sporting extravaganza is scheduled to be held from February 12, 2015 to February 15, 2015. This event would kick off with a four kilometer marathon on the roads of Ghaziabad tending to a social cause of “Road Safety” as a part of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) of the event.
