IIM Indore students learn Team Work and Strategy in the Himalayas in the annual unique experiential learning course

The Himalaya Outbound Program has been a part of IIM Indore curriculum since 2010. However, every year the places visited by the students have changed. Last year, our seniors went to places such as Musoorie, Dalhousie, Shimla and Nainital. Save for the last place, the other spots chosen for our batch this time were of greater height and trekking potential. The batch was split into 4 groups with three groups visiting the exotic locations in Uttarkhand – Bedni Bugyal, Dayara Bugyal and Kedakanta. The 4th group was sent to Nainital. The choice of the place to be visited was left up to the students and was given on a FCFS basis. With the batch being as adventurous as it is, Nainital tended to be the last preference for many!

The 13th edition of Horizons- the Annual Management Conclave of IIM Kozhikode organised by the Industry Interaction Cell was held from the 9 – 11th of November, 2012, with a host of speakers from domains ranging from Banking, Telecom, IT, Consulting, Venture Capital, Media, Advertising, Internet to Education, Healthcare, Non-Profit Organizations, Social Activism, Politics and Policy Making, who brought forth a multi-faceted discussion on the theme of the event- Ideate, Innovate and Integrate.

Summer Placements : IIM Lucknow - Class of 2012-14

When we published IIM Lucknow's Summer Placement Report here last year, we said that it was probably their best performance. However, this year IIM Lucknow summer placements have surpassed even that and they have firmly established themselves in the top four campuses in the country and are ready to take on IIM ABC across domains and functions. The gender diversity also seems to have done the magic with a record 177 women participating in Summer Placements at any IIM in the country for the first time (Earlier, even 3 batches put together would not have 177 women!)
