A STAR Writer: Sadashiv Pradhan From XLRI Jamshedpur

Sadashiv Pradhan, a Business Management graduate from XLRI Jamshedpur (Batch of 2016), now a manager at STAR India Ltd. talks about his first book - 23:59:59. For anyone aware of the importance of deadlines in a B-School and especially for XLers, the dreaded mails with a 23:59:59 deadline, the title of this book conveys what the story is about - the journey of an MBA student. But is it one of those cliched MBA books? Definitely not. Read on as he shares what this book is all about, how he went on to write it and how he managed to do it as a full-time working professional. And if that gets your interest piqued, you can find out more here.

To Become A Successful HR, One Should Learn About Human Dynamics And Human Psychology' - Interaction With Kumar Priyaranjan, Senior Vice President Of Hikal

It took me a couple of hours to scan my list of 6000+ connections on LinkedIn to find the right person to get my answers. Fortunately, I was able to find Mr. Kumar Priyaranjan, Senior Vice President & Head - Human Capital, Hikal. Hikal is a leading Indian Company that offers solutions across the life sciences value chain, established in 1980, it is a company built on enduring relationships. Being a B-School student, I was very inquisitive to get insights from industry leaders like him; so, I called him up over the phone to find answers to a few of my questions.

#Career #article #connections #LinkedIn #team #leaders aah! That’s my brain coming up with hashtags for the next post in my string of thoughts! My thought bubbles kept bursting with the excitement of having an opportunity to write an article again, because that’s what I love doing. And, the cherry on the cake being, (no – not the cash prizes, my command to the greedy me), but the chance to show my persuasion skills, my creative skills and my writing skills at the same time!

Be it academics, live projects, extra-curricular activities or placements, the IIM life is full of commitments (and mind you that nothing less than 100% would work).

It is up to an individual to decide whether he stands strong in the stormy situations or bows down to the tribulations of life. I, as someone coming from an ordinary south Indian family, have nothing other than sheer passion, dedication and commitment to pave my own way out of an unendingly competitive world.

Bharath Turlapaty’s IIM Nagpur Interview Experience

It was a hot summer afternoon during mid-April 2018 when I received my first email from IIM Nagpur that I have been shortlisted for stage III process, asking me to choose a slot and location for PI-WAT rounds. After due diligence and considering the fact that I will get a chance to visit the campus and analyse its facilities, I chose IIM Nagpur as my interview location. The interview was scheduled during the second week of May. Nagpur embraced us with 44 degrees Celsius temperature and moderate wind.
