Tejas Kumar, with his friends, built his startup HeDCET Technologies from scratch during his engineering days. Taking baby steps, he went on developing his own company which ultimately got acquired before he joined SIBM Pune for his MBA degree.
With the first stint of fieldwork ending for the first semester students of HRM & LR at TISS Mumbai, there cannot be better time to have a dear diary moment and talk about my first ever experience in the corporate way of life with Larsen and Toubro Infotech (LTI) here in Mumbai. As a fresher, every student has fancy about their first day at a new job: a straight entry gate into the gate of the adult life. As is obvious, mine was no different. Mondays and Tuesdays were now booked for the purpose of fieldwork every week, and I had a dual identity of a student and a professional (also literally so since I had an organisational and TISS ID card!)
With MBA entrance exams just around the corner, we understand that there is an air of anxiety and even panic amongst you, the aspirants.
A typical day at B-school is filled with attending lectures, committee work, guest lectures, live projects, certifications, participating in various competitions, writing articles for various magazines and lastly PLACEMENTS. This leaves little room for Term Exam preparation.

IIMs are known to encourage gender diversity and IIM-T is no exception. But let not this statement make you think that this is just another article on gender diversity - this is the tale about a working mother in the hallowed galleries of an IIM.
Hi ! I am Amir Raza from Kota, Rajasthan. I did my B.Tech in Computer Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University. I was one of the many engineers who decided to opt for MBA and hence wrote CAT'16 in my final year. I scored a whopping 99.7 %le in CAT VARC section which escalated my score to 96.15 %le overall, despite scoring just around 80 and 85 percentiles in LRDI and Quant sections respectively. As a GEM Fresher, I was able to get calls from the new IIM's and IIT Roorkee. However, due to the lack of work experience and not so great academics, I could finally convert only IIM Sambalpur and IIT Roorkee then. General English section (27.5/40) once again proved to be my saviour in my first attempt at SNAP when I was able to manage a 98.2134 %le overall with single digits score in LR and GK ( 4 and 7.5 respectively PS- no sectional cutoff in SNAP ) and an average score in Quant.
