Before joining IIM Rohtak, the biggest fear in my mind wasn’t about placements, academics or leaving the comforts of home. I was only worried about whether I’ll get time to pursue my passion of travelling and photography, knowing the fact that MBA was going to be an extremely hectic course and that b-schools have a reputation for being passion-killers.
I write today about a very interesting experience I have had the pleasure of living a few months ago. It led to moments of surprise, joy, excitement as well as confusion and frustration.
A commonly asked question among CAT aspirants is that how do we make ourselves ready for the verbal section. The answer to this question has been answered by many people, aspirants, converts, etc. Sure the answer is practice. If you practice more, you falter more, you analyse more and you improve eventually. There is one more way that could speed up the process i.e. to improve your vocabulary.
We have all been a part of the Indian education system. We have all learned the same technique of mugging up a chapter and answering questions at the back of the chapter. For years and years, we have developed a tendency. Even in college, we mug up the entire chapter so as to answer a subjective question, writing lengths and lengths in order to get marks.
The IIM Ahmedabad admission criteria have been released on the institute's official website. Highlights of the selection criteria are:
