Summer internship undoubtedly is the highlight of the first year of your master's program in management. Starts with the anxiety of getting an offer, followed by a brief period of relief that lasts only until you're about to start work, post which it is the excitement of knowing your location and project and soon after it's the thrill of working on a challenging project that paves the way for massive learning. Towards the end of the internship, it's anxiety again – this time about evaluations and pre-placement offers.
Getting into a top b-school is just the beginning of your MBA journey, but it is what you do in the next two years that will determine your career. More importantly, the summer placements are what will be the most crucial part of this journey in the next two years. InsideIIM conducted a one of its kind workshop called the Konversations Cafe with companies Shell, ABGLP, and HUL at That Comedy Club in Bangalore on 18th May 2018 to give b-school students a chance to prepare better for their life at a b-school, and their dream internship experience!
India is a country of numbers. We are the second most crowded country on the planet with consistent endeavours made by the administration to educate whatever number individuals as could be allowed. Indeed, the number of applicants per seat in esteemed b-schools is high. The business schools have to ensure that they separate the wheat from the chaff and select the most promising applicants for a seat in their institute. To guarantee this, they have an organized shortlisting and determination criteria which are sufficiently dynamic to adjust to the nature of applicants consistently. Not at all like some other tests, CAT can't be touted as a difficult exam to take.
I recently graduated from IMT-G, with Marketing as my majors. In the classes and through projects I learned about theoretical and practical concepts pertaining to the area of business management. But I learned many things from people and certain experiences. Some of these learnings are positive, which I would always cherish, & some negative which are to be always remembered as a lesson.

But to be able to strive for one goal year on year requires a lot of motivation and perseverance. 'When you are persistent, impossible things become possible.' A simple line but quite true.
