MBA is one of the most coveted degrees in the country. Every year over 2 lakh aspirants take CAT hoping to get admission in the b-school of their choice. The post-graduation course that many aspire to take up but only a few get through. And those who do are, well, in for a roller-coaster ride. The journey may seem like a bed of roses for an outsider. But, as they say, nothing worth doing comes easy.

I grow nostalgic as I write this. It was almost this time of the year last year. The dreaded day had finally arrived. I was sitting in front of the panel, the dream team. I had been waiting for this day for the past 2 years. I had finally gotten the opportunity to prove my worth, to get admission in an IIM, to enter the prestigious institution.
I read somewhere that,“the best thing about time is that it changes” ; for the better or the worse depends on how you act in your Present. This has really been a thing that has kept me on my feet. There may be several questions related to “MBA”. But my favourite one is “Why MBA?”. Before coming to this let’s see where did it all start for me and maybe for many of you as well.
With the Management results declared, the jostle to fill the admission forms has just begun. The aura of an MBA degree with its high pay packages and the diverse career opportunities it offers attracts many graduates across varied streams to apply for an MBA programme.
So, Congratulations to all of you who have cleared one or the other institute’s written test. Most of you might have already been done with most or all of the GDs, WATs, and Interviews. Final results of some of the colleges are also out. Some of you might have got through some might have been waitlisted and are sure of clearing the waitlist. Some of you might not have got through even on the waitlist but are quite sure of converting some other call. Some might have cleared one college but are expecting a convert from some better college. So, this article is for all those who have either cleared or are sure of clearing at least one college of their choice and are enthusiastic about joining the MBA course this year i.e. 2018.
