If you give it a thought, isn’t it just worth pondering that we devote months and even multiple years of our time in prepping up primarily for just one exam of merely 3 hours? Shorter is the time frame of performance, higher is the influence of the luck factor on the fallouts. Such cases are not distant from reality where one was a lion in all of his/her mock CATs and ends up goofing it up big time in the actual CAT exam. Besides, even if you do well in CAT, a gap of 2-3 questions can fetch someone else those crucial interview calls which could have otherwise knocked at your door.
As I set out on a journey of reflecting upon the plethora of twists and turns life has presented throughout, an oft-quoted dictum reverberates at the back of my mind, “You can’t blend in when you are born to stand out.” And what utility does a complacent life offer? Nothing, right! Ultimately, life should be the process of realising those aims that direct you towards establishing a distinguished individuality and innate uniqueness, simultaneously carving out a niche for yourself in the ever-so ephemeral environment. This piece primarily focusses upon a range of perspectives that constantly evolve as a result of experiences galore in motion, here my undergrad and the decision to pursue MBA and the transition in-between.

Fast forward one and a half month, I am already done with my midterm exams today as I start pondering on my journey till here. Not much before, on a pleasant day in May, the Gods decided to smile upon me and grant my wish of converting IIM Ranchi in the first list. And now I am here sitting in my room at 2:30 am contemplating on it. So, you must be considering me as insane, thinking who sits up till 2:30 am to start writing an article when you have the whole weekend ahead. My dear friends, this is the consequence of having sleepless nights since 17th June’17 and now if you get a single night with a somewhat lesser load of work, you remain awake till 4 am – not because you are in love, but because you have become a nocturnal mammal.
