Meet InsideIIM's Star Women Writers | International Women's Day 2020

Every year, more and more women come forth with articles and personal stories on InsideIIM. Against all odds, battling social stigma and personal issues, women (all genders really!) come forward to pen down experiences, thoughts and opinions on InsideIIM. This women's day, we'd like to recognise some of our star women contributors to InsideIIM! A part of InsideIIM's student team, these ladies juggle class, assignments and projects, competitions, exams and also manage to write impactful stories and articles on InsideIIM, helping fellow students and aspirants make important life decisions. A Learner At Heart, A Professional In Making - Nishit Agarwal, MDI Gurgaon

If I could compare my life at MDI, it would be to a journey on a boat in the middle of a disturbed sea. There are many instances where you feel, the raging waters would sink in, but you fight back all the time. You fall, but you keep clinging back to the boat, fighting the sea of the unknown head-on, hoping the weather to calm and the shore to arrive. In the end, you can be confident that you’d emerge as a mature sailor with the confidence you gain only by adversity that you experience. You hope to become confident that you have achieved something you initially thought you couldn’t. The ride isn’t smooth but the bumps are meant to take you nowhere but uphill. The entire MBA life focuses on expanding the radius of your comfort zone by pushing you out of it at every instance.

Imperium 2019 – Conquering The Horizons!

Imperium, the flagship event of MDI Gurgaon, is one of the largest B-School fests in India and is attended by students from all the top B-schools like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, XLRI, SP Jain, and IITs. It is marked by a huge variety of events ranging from sports, case study competitions, cultural events, student address by leading industry stalwarts and social figures. The event climaxes with mesmerizing performances by some of India's leading artists every year including Euphoria, Nikhil D’Souza, Parikrama and The Local Train, and comic artists such as Rahul Subramanian, Abish Mathew, Biswa Kalyan Rath. Every puzzle has a solution but when the puzzle is about delving into the consumer psyche, it is a tough nut to crack. Illumina, the disguised market research club of MDI, has been providing companies with that unique opportunity to study consumer behaviour for 23 years, in a format that aims to produce the cleanest and most bias-free incites from Market Research. In the past, Illumina had the honour of collaborating with brands like HUL, Godrej, ITC, Airtel, Flipkart, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Hewlett Packard, Idea Cellular, Videocon and ITC to name a few. They had sponsorship associations with the likes of TATA Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra and Mahindra, Union Bank, Nielsen Ltd, and many more.
