A Cup Of Sanity - Whatever You Do Or Don't Do, Life Goes On
"It was the worst of all, wasn't it? A project heavy term, packed with insane placement rush. I am so glad it's over." A mind says."Yeah, true that." A heart replies.

When one is able to break through the cacophony of the clutter, the goal seems attainable.
Data is the new currency in town and all giant corporations, as always, can’t have enough of it. Google probably knows more about many of us than we know ourselves! This huge amount of data is processed and analysed to gain insights about the customers and into the functioning of the business and finds application in almost all fields. The information about customers is of particular use to marketers.
Rarely, comes along a TV show that leaves a lasting impression in the minds of the viewers, to an extent, that viewers seem to relate and imitate the characters as well as their idiosyncrasies. TV Series that manage to pull of a cult fan base, are able to achieve that because of their mesmeric characters, gripping storylines, intricate plots and the fan favourites, ‘quotable dialogues’. The key to a lasting cult lies in delivering consistently in each episode and leaving the viewers wanting for more, *cliffhanger*. One such show that became an obsession worth having, well, at least for me, was ‘Mad Men’.
Advanced Competitive Strategy is a course from the strategy domain taught by the Director of IIM Lucknow, Professor Ajit Prasad. This course while may come across as one that will be extremely complex and serious, was filled with an immense amount of fun and fervour. Strategy courses are known for being demanding and heavy, yet here is a course than entirely changed my perspective towards the subject.
Another great course I took this term was the Advanced Oral Communication Course or AOC which is taken by Professor Neerja Pande. She belongs to arts field and was brought up in Lucknow itself. This course from the communications department is very different from the typical courses at a B-School, yet it is as or more essential than the ones taught across both years.
