Somewhere around 2016, my conservative parents and their siblings started sensing the ideological rift between them and us. My cousins and I were 20 somethings with voice and we stopped nodding our heads at every regressive comment made at someone else's expense.
A cold night, a warm black hoodie; and hands in the pockets and headphones in the ears. Eyes half closed, as steps blindly followed the usual route on the tune of "Perfect". Serene streets, misty air and not even a single living entity in sight. It was just another midnight walk.
You have given your all to CAT preparation, done with the aptitudes, with the long interview processes and have finally made it to the mecca of supply chain management. Many of selected candidates were working before joining a B-school and hence, been away from studies from quite a while. You recall your undergraduate college and think, you have done it before. Now, you expect to sail through the two breezy years of MBA. You think the difficult part is over?
Our society largely fancies a patriarchal view of how a person should behave, whether male or female. In essence, femininity or masculinity is described by this patriarchal view, and hence, is not biological in nature, the representations and manifestations of which differs across cultures, time and societies. Despite the actual fact that these days media progressively associates femininity with independent and powerful ladies, qualities informed by sexuality still play a dominant role in the shaping of femininity. These qualities are mainly imbibed culturally and socially by the family, education, and the public.
The idea of starting something from scratch, building it into something that is valuable and something that would change the lives of people, if not billions or millions, even a handful of human beings, has always fascinated me. I’ve always admired those who go out of their way to pursue their passion with an undying kindle of entrepreneurial spirit.
