Aunty: “Beta, what are you currently doing?”
I am Kunal Shah. I have been born and brought up in Mumbai. I have done my Engineering with Specialisation in Computers from Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering, Bandra and I had a work experience of 2 years with JP Morgan Chase before joining JBIMS.
An investment worth about 2 million rupees in India and 3-4 times abroad, MBA is probably the most important choice that a person makes while in his 20s. Therefore, it becomes imperative to put in something more than research when choosing your preferred business school.
Let me start with this –
INSEAD, a graduate business school with campuses in Europe, Asia (Singapore), and the Middle East (Abu Dhabi), is one of the leading business schools which is known to offer full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme, Executive MBA (EMBA) programme, a Master in Finance programme and a variety of executive education programmes.
From the very beginning, when I joined THAPAR for my bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, I discovered mechanical procedures and ideas exceptionally intriguing. Manly feel and lots of things to assemble and disassemble gives you a lot of freedom to create something for your happiness. My father was an automotive mechanic and even without getting a basic engineering degree, he used to apply the basics of engineering while working on automotive components in a very beautiful way. I learnt a lot about frugal innovation from him. Even after doing engineering from such a reputable college in North India and learning more about mechanical than my father, I was constantly intrigued by his style of working. I adored his working methodology. In spite of the fact that with time he was not ready to adapt up to the arduous work that generally technician needs to do every day so he needed to leave that work when I began working for Tata Motors. My father was not glad in light of the fact that he needed to leave the work yet in the meantime, he was upbeat likewise on the grounds that I joined one of the best automotive companies of India.
Congratulations on climbing the mountain called CAT but the tag of ‘IIMites’ still awaits you. So, brace yourselves as you make your way from the ‘third step’ to the summit.
