Steady Decline in CAT applications

Steady Decline in CAT applications

The CAT data which show a decline of close to 10% (from 2.14 lac in 2012 to 1.94 lac registrations in 2014) in the number of MBA aspirants over the past 3 years. Does that mean the top B-Schools of the country are losing their sheen? MBA losing its value? Not really.  In a recent survey it was found that 3 out 4 MBA grads said that they could not have got in to their present jobs without their MBA.  According to corporate survey by GMAC (company that brings GMAT) globally, 84 percent of employers plan to hire MBA graduates this year which is an increase of 10 percent from last year. It also says 96 per cent of employers worldwide concurred that hiring from business schools created value for their companies.

'Impact is More Important than Money' - IIM Indore Director at Graduation Day of MYRA

Graduation 2015 at MYRA School of Business was a very memorable event. It was special, because it was the graduation of the founding batch of the 2-year AICTE-approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and the second batch of the Post Graduate Program for eXecutives (PGPX). Indeed more special, because the graduating students represented 22 different states of the country. The Graduation Day had ‘Royal’ written all over — right from the procession marching to the tunes of the Karnataka Police Band, Mysuru, to the Mysore Royal Turban to the silver medallions individually presented to the graduating students. Not really surprising though, as MYRA is Mysore Royal Academy.
