After a recent SC ruling this April that recognises Transgenders as ‘third gender’, MICA has decided to include Transgenders in its application process, for its next academic year.

Professor Thakur, Fellow - IIM Calcutta, teaches Strategic Management in XLRI Jamshedpur. We thank him to spend his precious time in answering our questions. IIFT Entrance is just around the corner - 30th November, and InsideIIM brings you this interview with IIFT entrance topper Sunny Pandey, to give you a flavour of how to prepare for D-Day. Sunny did his schooling from Holy Public School Agra and Chemical Engg. from HBTI Kanpur. He worked at ZACL for 2.5 years. He is a quizzer and has won many quizzes at institutional, regional and national level. He loves following Football and regularly writes for sportskeeda.com. He has done CFA level 1 and plans to write FRM level 1 and 2 in june next year. He is the IIFT entrance exam topper.
PART 1: THE ROAD TO CAT I am not a believer of New Year resolutions. For me, those are just gimmicks of weak-willed people. So I refused to categorize my first lecture in Career Launcher on January 1, 2012 as a New Year resolution. I was just happy to be in a classroom, away from my office. People had partied hard the night before, and as a result there were only 2 people in the class of Reading Comprehension that day. Many teachers would have felt inclined to cancel that class, but mine went ahead with it; a clear sign that she respected the two individuals for showing up on 1stJanuary. A good first impression, I must say. She was to go on to become my strongest mentor and supporter in the days to come.
