Diversity by design gradually should lead to diversity by extension being a natural part of the student pool at a Business School. However like everything that is slightly off the beaten path, this idea too has taken root and shape gradually at SPJIMR. With a unique approach which incorporates a focus on “value based leadership” from where can emerge leaders with a grounded perspective on things-that-be; diversity certainly adds to the “value” in the “value based leadership” that SPJIMR assimilates within its students.
Come February as results of various entrance exams flood our consciousness voices rise, opinions are slammed everywhere and virtues of national integration and brotherhood on which our forefathers had written the constitution are forgotten.
Converts lists of some of the b-schools are already out and a lot more will start pouring in shortly. Most aspirants face a situation where they convert more than one b-school which are similar and looking for various parameters to decide upon the b-school that suits them the most. This article provides some qualitative factors to research about a b-school, which help in making a decision in such a situation. For some of the factors, suggestions on information sources are also given.
An MBA in this era of globalisation demands knowledge beyond the textbook. It requires an individual to draw from his own personal experiences to find solutions to practical problems. Going on exchange from IIFT to one of the partner foreign universities is one such experience that creates memories for life. It’s an opportunity to meet different people, visit different countries, try new drinks, eat new cuisines and live a completely different life.
