“THE GIGANTIC CONGLOMERATE” AND HOW I FACED CHALLENGES (IIM Kashipur)
Aditya Birla Group is a gigantic Indian MNC which operates in 35countries and is the 3rd largest Indian conglomerate. It has got renowned brands like Allen Solly, Peter England, Hindalco, Pantaloons, Ultratech Cement and much more. Covering millions of consumers under such largest umbrella of the market has got a good value proposition. ABG has influenced and tried to fulfill most of the wants that are floated in the market right from the packaging of food items by Freshwrapp to the fulfillment of copper wires required by Indian Railways. Also in March 2017, Idea (a subsidiary of ABG) merged with Vodafone so as to provide better telecommunication services to the consumers. Stating the influence of ABG is too hard for a consumer like me and my family who has been consuming their products right from the purchase of apparel to the use of Ultratech Cement in various construction. Concentrating on my part I’m more into apparels section when it comes to ABG with popular brands like Van Heusen, Peter England, and Allen Solly, I still remember the day of IIM-CAP interview at Kolkata wearing a light yellow color Peter England shirt and a dark trouser which proved lucky to me that summarizes how much ABG has influenced in my life.
