My Memories with ABG #IIMTrichy #ABGLP

My Memories with ABG #IIMTrichy #ABGLP

I am from a tier-2 city named Sangareddy , ‘MORE’ was the first super-market to be opened there and it instantly became a go-to place for me and all my friends as It brought to us the things that we never had access to. Stealing chocolates from the store racks has become one of our most cherished memory. As I grew ‘BITS’ had been one of my dream colleges in intermediate and knowing about the culture there had aroused a great interest, although I never made it to the college I had a change to attend a cultural fest in BITS Hyderabad where Farhan Aktar was performing live, that was the first concert I ever attended and the day still leaves me with goose-bumps. In my engineering I had my first Interview lined up and I got to wear a suit for the first time, that Allen-Solly suit was my prized possession. I started my job in Mumbai and not a night-out went by without having a ride on the Bandra-worli sea link.

How Aditya Birla Group touched my heart along with million others!!- TAPMI #ABGLPWooMe

You must have come across your parents say- “Padh lo, tum Kisi Tata ya Birla ki family se nahi ho”. (Go and study, you are not from the Tata’s or Birla’s family). I don’t have a count on how many times have I heard this statement in life. Probably I was so small when I first heard this statement that I did not even realize that these are two big names who have created a history and continue to give us testimonies of their achievements. Yes, that’s how I got to know that there’s something called as Tata and there’s something called as Birla and that they have really made a great deal.

Overcoming Challenges the ABG way - Rahet Singh Wadhwa , TAPMI

We don't grow when the things are easy , we grow when we face challenges in life. They make us a better individual by providing us an opportunity to enhance our skillset.  It’s never easy to come from a small town and dream big, is It? Most of the small-town people do face the problem of lack of exposure and opportunities some time or the other. But does that stop us from dreaming big? Well, you might say that’s a subjective question for some are demotivated by lack of opportunities while others are excited by the difficulties and challenges.

Early struggles - TAPMI

I have always been a steady performer in my academics. I always used to be in the top five of my class. In my X standard I shifted from CBSE to state board, It was the first time I was introduced to Telugu as a subject, I also had a problem with mathematics, where state board is way advanced compared to what I learned in CBSE. Owing to these factors, and some other external factors, my performance dropped drastically, where I was at the bottom five of my class. X standard board examinations were very important and there used to be a lot of emphasis on the performance and scoring required at the finals. I experienced a lot of pressure owing to my performance and my inability to learn. I was performing the same till my half-yearly examinations. I realized that I haven’t been improving on my weak areas and giving into the pressure of scoring without concentrating on the learning part. I started to work harder than I used to, and emphasized on my weak areas. I performed pretty decently in my next two pre-finals, I continued with my hard work, emphasizing on my weak areas and strengthening my strong areas. I gave my finals and the results were beyond expectations, I stood as a topper of my school. I was donned with a gold medal from my school for my performance. I consider this as my greatest achievement, where I emerged from the bottom five of my class to second best scorer in the town. This particular achievement made me understand that life is not always constant and there are many difficulties and changes that take place continuously, it is only when you are prepared to face these challenges, without losing confidence, courage and determination you can succeed. This achievement helped me realize my potential and lead me to embark on a bigger journey.

Massive Presence - TAPMI

Massive Presence - TAPMI

Head-quartered in the city of dreams Aditya Birla group touches lives of individuals across the world with its range of products. It fulfils the copper requirement for Indian Railways. Average daily users of Indian railways is 30 millions. This is one way in which I can think about the vastness of the group. I have used many products from childhood until now which belong to the group. As a teenager I bought myself a pair of trousers from Allen Solly and I later realized that it belonged to the Aditya Birla apparel and that’s how it all started. Then, I started realizing that most of the day to day products and services which we use are produced by Aditya Birla group. I vividly remember how surprized I was when I knew that pantaloons belong to Aditya Birla. How can a company own both the retail format and the fashion brands such as peter englad, van huesen, louis philippe as well. I couldn’t imagine the vastness of the company even when I tried so hard. Be it the insurance policies, Vodafone services or UltraTech cement which we used for our new house construction, from small things to large the group’s presence is always there. The group is not only touching lives with its products and services but also though its CSR initiatives and its contribution to the society. The company has imbibed sustainability in its strategy rather than considering it as a separate entity. With its huge investments which exceed 500 crores in CSR the company demonstrates its commitment to the community as well as the environment.
