Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life?
Right from childhood unknowingly ABG has been a brand that has been an integral part of my life. I can still remember when while in school my mother used to wake up early in the morning to prepare gobsmacking delicious food for me to carry so I am well fed and delighted during the lunch break in school. To maintain the freshness of her love and effort she trusted none other than ABG's Freshwrapp. This thin piece of meticulously made aluminium sheet ensured that the food that I had was rich in nutrients and free from external dust and harmful particles. After lunch, this same wrap ensured that was able to play cricket in class with makeshift bats out of tiffin boxes. These lunch breaks remain few of my happiest memories of the school where I bonded with so many friends for life and ABG acted as a glue for the same.
“Taking India to the world “, if any organisation has lived up to its words, it is none other than the Aditya Birla Group, spanning across 34 countries, Aditya Birla Group is anchored by a strong force of over 120,000 employees, belonging to 42 nationalities. Strolling down the lanes of childhood to the ripe age of 22, Aditya Birla Group has always made its presence felt in the vicinity, be it the IDEA VODAFONE cellular sim we used in our first mobile phones to ULTRATECH cement which is used as the building block of majority Indian houses.
As a kid, I was a huge fan of the “What an Idea, Sirji!” advertisement series. After watching their ‘India – Overpopulation’ ad, I used to take my parents’ mobile phones to my bedroom, for want of a younger sibling. I also wanted to be taught through a mobile handset after seeing an underprivileged kid becoming the Student of The Year in one of the advertisements. While my unsullied mind can be forgiven for not understanding the social implications behind the advertisement, the ad series did take root in my heart and was my first unknowing association with ABG and Idea.
Why Aditya Birla Group is Big in life?
I still remember a particular rainy day when I stood outside a Vodafone office (now Vodafone-Idea), happy and excited to have my first taste of corporate life as an intern. Although not a single entity at that point but Vodafone and Idea were still in collaboration for the 3G network and there I was, a small cog in a giant wheel called The Aditya Birla Group. Who would have thought that it would become India’s largest telecom operator with 400 million subscribers!
I am of the opinion that if people believe they share values with a company, they will stay loyal to the brand.
