Challenges are mandatory to achieve your goal. If there is no challenge you are facing for a period of time, trust me, you are not on the right track. After my BTech graduation, I was placed in a company, where I got a job, I never dreamt of doing. I wanted my career to kick-start from a perfect role for me. This made me coin down to pursue MBA. Not a normal MBA, but an MBA from IIM-A. So I started taking coaching classes from one of the leading coaching centres of the country. After seven months of coaching, I gave my CAT exam and I was confident enough to expect calls from IIMs. But unfortunately, I didn't clear the cutoff for a section of the exam, leaving me with no IIM calls. At first, I felt really sad and hopeless but then I noticed that I have gotten calls from other prestigious B-schools. I then started preparing for the interviews for those colleges. Initially, it was very difficult to make myself comfortable with the fact that getting into IIM will cost another year which I didn't want to lose. But eventually, I gained confidence and performed well in the interviews which gave me an opportunity at TAPMI. It gave me wonderful opportunities and a new horizon for understanding business. After one year of MBA, one thing I realized is that, where ever you are, you will stand out if you are meant to be. It is not the institute that matters, it is your attitude that matters.
