I didn’t face any major setback yet, but there are a few small challenges I overcame in the last couple of years.
The first challenge was more of a dilemma between my academics and sports, I remember I had my state lever cricket match right before my 10thboard exam, all my friends and family members suggested to focus on the exam and quit cricket for good, but I was too connected with the game to let it go.
I tried my best to manage both, I practiced during day time and studied during the night, although we couldn’t make it to the semifinals but we played well, and I did great in my exam as well.
The second challenge is a recent one – after my graduation most of my friends were taking placements, getting jobs, or joining b-schools, I, on the other hand, took a year off to prepare for my cat exam, and that was very stressful period of my life, I felt like I was struck and everyone I know was doing great in their lives, getting settled, with everything figured out, and I was like I am lost. I tried to find the root cause of my anxiety and found out it was social media, it is where I got to know what everyone else was doing and that really distracted me, I decided to take a break from social media and it really helped, by quitting social media I discovered that I was more focused on myself and opportunities ahead of me, rather than thinking about how well my acquaintances were doing.
