As quoted, there is no shortcut to success. We are bound to experience situations in life which can come in the form of ups and downs. Taking advices would be a shorter route but it does not add the taste of learning which a failure might provide.

The most learning experience came in my life when I simply left the IT firm I was placed in after engineering without looking for a backup, as I disliked coding. Being idle at home I was ready to pounce on any opportunity I would get in an electrical sector. I finally acquired a job at a transformer manufacturing company which was 40kms away from my house for a lesser pay.

Still reminiscing the moments of walking a km to catch a B.E.S.T bus to reach halfway followed by the company vehicle to office in a remote area. On daily basis I had to commute for 4-5 hours by public transport and the work place being a factory I use to get exhausted as it was not similar to 9am 6pm desk job and more of standing, interacting with the factory labourers to understand the working better.

From helping to guiding workers, helping in manual labour to learn from the ITI’s, to working under the guidance of senior managers I learnt the value of not taking things for granted which I did during my previous workplace. I started preparing for entrances during any leisure time and even utilized time I use to get while commutating, thus finally securing a good MBA college in Mumbai.

From inspecting in sweltering conditions to even experiencing travelling in a truck due to delay in catching the company vehicle the journey was although tiresome but experience was worth cherishing.
