A. If you are born in India, Aditya Birla Group is a name you’ll soon become familiar with. There will then come a time when you’ll learn more about it and be astounded by this group’s presence in your life. You might even wonder over your ignorance and how little you know. Then, all this will culminate into a sense of pride because it’s an Indian group. We’ve all been there.

Before I even knew the brand, it was in my wardrobe. The brand literally takes over your wardrobe when you step into a more professional outlook. Whether it is Peter England or Allen Solly, from my collection of shirts to ties to shoes, all have a brand associated with Aditya Birla Group. It’s ability to win over my wardrobe only got stronger as I stepped into bigger cities, especially with the one-stop shop, Pantaloons. The group however also gave my sister ammunition, called Forever 21 and as soon as I hear it, I know it’s bad news for my wallet.

No account about the group can omit “UltraTech Cement”. I’ve seen structures being built with it and it has had a strong presence on my television set. This brand has certainly stood the test of time. Moreover, I’m an engineer which makes it my choice. Talking of presence on television, the campaign around Idea Cellular has been memorable. The brand, now Vodafone Idea limited continues to be part of my circle.

Just as Freshwrapp does it for my dad’s lunch, I’ll wrap it up saying this is one group every Indian should be proud of, as it continues to be big in our lives.

B. It’s important to keep challenging oneself to ensure growth. Along my journey of pursuing my dreams, there have been roadblocks and mountains to climb.

My goal has always been to create and move the human race forward. It all started with a dream to become an Engineer. As I was preparing for my entrance exams, a childhood problem re-emerged. I had a phobia for blood which disturbed me frequently. I decided to confront it. As I was trying to fight out my phobia, things got complicated and anxiety took over. Even the thought of blood used to drive me anxious. I had to prepare for examinations and my grades were suffering which made things difficult.

I realized that forcing my way through the situation wasn't working. I discussed my problem with a teacher who guided me. I found time to play cricket to keep myself upbeat. I kept my focus on my studies by spending more time in the library where I wasn't distracted by my anxiety. It required mental discipline. It was a time when my analytical skills weren’t helping me and I had to bank on my self-belief only. Eventually, I had my phobia under control. The anxiety subsided and I was able to secure admission into a good college.

I gained a lot of confidence once I overcame a fear, I once thought was insurmountable. I graduated and landed as a design engineer at Maruti Suzuki. My major assignment was to build a completely novel design for a new model. I was able to create and move the human race forward.
