There are some hurdles you must overcome to reach your targets and achieve the goals in life. But I personally believe if you inhibit certain qualities then nothing is unconquerable. The principles I believe in are Smart-work, persistence, Dedication and focus.
Smart-work is the refinement of hard work. For example, if you are working on a report, there can be 2 aspects. Working sleeplessly for nights and complete your target. Or else work smartly with new techniques and creativity and complete your work in one short. In todays era working smartly is more appreciated then hardworking. With smart work you don’t achieve your target well but also complete your task more efficiently.
Success comes with Persistence. In achieving success you may fail number of times. But the one who succeeds is the one who stands up even after number of failures and try his best in achieving his goals. ‘Try and try till you succeed’ should be the mantra.
By Dedication and focus I mean whatever work you are doing you have to give your fullest. It simply means be focussed towards the goals and nothing can stop you from reaching your targets/goals. By saying dedicated I mean you have to be committed towards your works irrespective of any external factors influencing you.
Also finally I would say Discipline is one of the important aspect towards achieving your goals. Being discipline helps me to take control over myself. Having a structure in mind and being committed to the goal and disciplined when it comes to the means achieving the goal reduces the anxiety and stress associated with overcoming challenges.
