Part A: Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life?
Aditya Birla Group has touched millions of lives all across the globe in a million ways and I am one of them. In the year 1857, it was founded by Shiv Narayan Birla. It operates in 35 countries and with more than 120,000 employees worldwide making the lives of people easier and pleasing. ABG has also been a part of my life since I was a young child who used to get excited in her school to have her lunch which her mother used to pack with Freshwrapp which kept the food warm for a long period. I have always loved shopping and Pantaloons has been my go-to brand from the very beginning. They have got a variety of collections that too at reasonable prices which made it easier for me to buy clothes for myself. It was my 21st birthday and I had still not decided what to wear on my special day but then I saw an advertisement for Forever 21 and I was fascinated by the collections I saw in the ad and wanted to give it a try. I went to the store and finally got the dress I wanted for my birthday. This year for my business schools interview I had to get myself some formal clothes and it was disappointing for me to know that there were not many brands who offered female formal clothes but then I came across Van Heusen and I got what I needed and now I am studying in one of the premier business schools of India. ABG proved yet again that how big it was a part of my life and how I can trust it completely without any doubts whatsoever. ABG made my life simpler and easier and I know that it will always be a part of my life.
Part B: How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?
I know one thing that life has never been easier for people and only those who work hard will achieve their goals and reach their destinations and luck will also be on their side. I have always been a hard-working person be it in my school or my college. I have always tried to give my best to achieve my ambition of studying in one of the premier business schools in India.
2017 was a crucial year for me as I had to appear for the MBA entrance exams which were the first step to reach my goal. I know I had to work hard and I started my preparation from the very beginning. My CAT exam was in November and I was studying very hard for it but life had its way of coming at me. My very own elder brother's marriage was fixed and somehow the marriage date was in November. I was tensed because I didn't know how I would manage everything. At one end it was my ambition and at the other end, it was an occasion I wanted to enjoy completely. Soon I realized that I have to work harder for my exam and I have to be prepared completely. My brother's wedding was in Delhi and I had to come back to Kolkata within a day to appear for my exam. I came back the previous day of the exam and was ready to give the exam the very next day. My exam went well and I got calls from a few business schools but I was not able to convert any. I was disheartened and I did not know what to do as it was my dream to get into a business school that year. I spent a lot of time with myself and decided to give it another shot and work twice as hard as I could and I gave MBA entrance exams again in 2018 and this time I converted every call and now it was up to me to decide in which business school I wanted to study in.
Finally, I achieved what I had dreamed of for so many years. It was my sheer hard work and a bit of luck which favored me. This made me realize that no matter how tough it gets we need to work hard and give our very best, we will surely then achieve our dreams and ambitions.
