Firstly, I would like to mention a few facts about Aditya Birla Group (ABG). They are actively working in 14 industry sectors globally. The major sectors are textiles, chemicals, Fashion, etc. And, I would love to mention that ABG is making a huge impact in my life for many years. Being a girl and moreover a girl with shopping interest, I had multiple interactions with ABG products such as products from Pantaloons, Forever 21, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, etc. And, I am looking forward to more products from these brands. This was a brief introduction about how I know about products from ABG. Now, we will move further and will talk about the importance of the products from these brands in my life. First, I will start with Van Heusen and Allen Solly. I did my graduation in Engineering from NSIT, Delhi. So, being an engineering student, we have campus placements and we sit for a lot of companies and for this, we need formal clothes. So, when it was my turn back in 2014, I did my first purchase from Van Heusen and Allen Solly. From then to now, I haven’t stopped my love for formal clothes and I haven’t stopped my love for Van Heusen and Allen Solly formal clothing. These brands have built a trust in me and for formal wear, I can say that I trust these two brands in terms of quality and designs. After seeing my passion for these brands, you won’t be surprised if I’ll tell you that my last purchase was in May’19 from Van Heusen. So, you can see how important these brands to me when it comes to comfortable, fashionable formal wear. Apart from this, if we talk about casual wear, I am a big fan of Forever 21 in terms of it’s international and out of the box designs. Also, I love to buy products from Pantaloons, it is a one-stop solution to a lot of things. They are catering to a bigger market segment then Forever 21, Van Heusen and Allen Solly. Apart from shopping, if we talk about other products, they have played an important but indirect role in my life or I would say those products have played an indirect role in everyone’s life such as UltraTech cement, carbon products for tyres. Overall, I would say that ABG is catering to almost each and every type of audience in different sectors and knowingly or unknowingly, we guys are using its product and by the time, they have become an essential part of our life.
How I made an impact on society with my views and thoughts
The way ABG has made an impact in my life, I have also done things which were unique and odd and which created an impact on others. Here, I would like to tell you a story, before coming to IIM Rohtak, I was working with a company as a Marketing Manager. It is a platform, which provides internship opportunities to students. Apart from internships, we were also receiving requests from companies to post their campus ambassador programs but we were not posting it because most of the companies do not take it seriously. But, I thought that if we will form a strategy for this program then it could be a beneficial step for the first year, second-year students. After months of discussion, we launched a new structure for campus ambassador request and we started posting those kinds of opportunities for students. And, I am proud to say that it worked wonderfully and with the help of campus ambassador programs we achieved a goal for providing 1lakh internship opportunities in 2018. This is one of the biggest achievement for which I feel very proud. And, this definitely made an impact on those student's life who got internships. For this, I faced a lot of issues regarding resources, regarding the whole new product for campus ambassador thing but I made strategy and I tried and I resolved it. It is one company who is trying to cultivate a culture of paid internship in India and being a part of this team for almost 3 years, I feel very happy about it. Being associated with a company and cause like this, it is itself an achievement to me. However, I have learned a lot of good things from this organization; it helped me in my personal and professional development. And, I believe that I made an impact on society while overcoming the challenges during this journey.
