I am from Lucknow and have done my schooling from Montfort Inter College Lucknow. I completed my graduation in Computer Science and Engineering from Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College Ghaziabad in 2015. In college I was entrusted with many positions of responsibility like student-in-charge for mentorship programme of CSE department, designing head for the annual technical fest, member of Software incubator- the software development centre of the college and captain of the football team of the CSE department. In Software Incubator, I organized many workshops and seminars on different technologies. I was responsible for inviting academicians and industry people for taking these sessions. During my professional work experience of three years, I have interacted with founders and senior management of more than 50 companies mainly from the IT and education sector. After B.Tech, I joined MTree Software Pvt Ltd in Noida and worked on a 3D visualizer of a network simulator for a USA based client.
In the latter half of 2016, an opportunity knocked on my door, and I started exploring an idea of using technology for solving a critical problem in the education sector. After interacting with lots of teachers and market research, we started the product development in 2017. In April 2017, the product release date was near, and it was getting difficult for me to manage alongside a fulltime job. After working hard for months to convert an idea into a product, it was the day when I was supposed to take a leap of faith and resign from my so-called “stable job of the six-figure salary”. After spending hours in convincing parents, I resigned from MTree software and joined this exciting Ed-Tech venture EDU-DRIVES as a Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer.
There come those defining moments in life when we just have to take that life-changing decision, and this was surely one of them for me. Next, one year was a roller coaster ride full of new challenges and new lessons every day. I managed the entire product development vertical and oversee SEO and digital marketing. Working in close association with senior management was a great learning experience as it exposed me to the challenges of running a business. I realized a need for formal management education to bridge gaps in my skillset and thus started pursuing another dream, an IIM dream. I was quite clear that either I’ll join a premier b-school or I’ll continue with the business. Apart from IIM Rohtak, I had offers from IIM Kashipur, SCMHRD, XIMB, IMT-G and few baby IIMs but I’ll never forget the moment when I received that conversion mail from IIM Rohtak. It was really good to see parents so happy.
I am currently pursuing MBA from IIM Rohtak. I am the president of Industry Relations and Interaction Cell (IRIC), which brings corporate and institute closer. IRIC organizes events like management summit, Guest Lectures, Workshops, Industry Visits and Live Projects under corporate connect program. As a member of IRIC, I get to interact with topnotch business leaders and get an enriched learning experience. I get a chance to represent my institute in front of the corporate. I am also a part of competition cell in IIM Rohtak and have the responsibility of training the batch for the upcoming corporate competitions. I did my summer internship in HDFC bank and it was quite an enriching learning experience.
As a part of growing up, Aditya Birla Group was always a brand to look up to. I’ve used multiple products of the brands. Brands like Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Peter England have always been a part of my life. From shirts to a mobile network, from Pantaloons to Ultratech, it's difficult to imagine life without these brands and products. I would surely love to be a part of this conglomerate.
