I had done it. I was moving out of the city for the first time in 21 years. I had cracked NMIMS and this was it. My flight was in 4 days and I was busy packing my bags. There was so much I wanted to take with me. Collar t-shirts is a must for college. And shirts too. That reminds me. What about my formal shirts? How many do I have? I went through my closet. Did I own only 1 formal shirt that still fit me? Man, I was in a soup. I had never needed formal shirts this badly before and I didn't know where to go to for it. The first name that popped in my mind was Van Heusen. South City mall would have it right? Definitely! My mom always had a good taste in clothes for me. And we were off before we knew it.

I landed at the store hoping to buy just couple formal shirts. That would do, right? I tried a shirt on. It fit so perfectly! I wanted a couple more. This is definitely what I'll be wearing from now on, and I've never gone back on it since. I just fell in love with the brand and it's shirts. A life saver with all my guest lectures and interviews. It gave me a confidence boost and gave me a good feeling everytime I wore them. I would thank the brand for existing. It made my life so much easier.

What is life without challenges? Every hurdle is a test and every failure is a teacher. Personally, I welcome every challenge with open arms. They have made me the person I am today. Everytime I fail I learn something and everytime I succeed I feel a sense of accomplishment. That’s a win-win situation. They make you a better person in some way or the other. Dealing with challenges is an art. Everyone has their own ways of dealing with challenges. It differs from person to person. Some people fear challenges and I don’t understand why. The positive attitude towards a challenge and your own confidence are the most important things I feel. Confidence in your own abilities without self doubt. Personally, my greatest challenge was cracking the NMAT exam. It was life defining for me and I needed to do this for myself. My self confidence and determination guided me through. I believed in myself and gave it my all. It would only teach me more about myself and my abilities if I failed here. And that is completely fine. I did succeed and I’m here today. I owe this attitude of mine to all the times I’ve failed. It did not start off like this. I was apprehensive towards trying new things and would get scared if a challenge showed up. Being a sports person has taught me a lot on accepting defeat as a friend. I owe it all to sports. I have come a long way and hope to go further.
