Seafood has been an important part of the human diet since the first hunter-gatherers realised they could use fish, prawns, and other aquatic animals as a food source. I did not like the look of fish or prawn right from my childhood. I was a eggitarian in a vegetarian house where occasionally fish and chicken was made outside the kitchen when guests were present.

My choice towards food changed when I was 12 and shifted to the coastal town of Nellore in Andhra Pradesh, where seafood was abundantly available. One day on a tour of  the several fresh water aquaculture tanks present near the beach, I was shown how the cleaning and treatment of seafood tanks was done to maintain a healthy produce. Accelerated H202  (Hydrogen Peroxide) which was manufactured by Multi-100, a brand of Aditya Birla Group was the perfect solution for sterilising fish tanks, pipework, glass and plastic. Hydrogen peroxide had also been used in aquaculture as an immersion (bath) treatment against many different disease-causing organisms, including external parasites, bacteria, and fungi, on different species and life-stages of fish.Unlike bleach, H202 that is manufactured with 35% concentration turned into harmless water and oxygen after 24 hours in contact with water in the tanks.

This vital piece of information about H2O2 being used got me curious regarding the taste of the prawns, Fish and I have enjoyed my plate of sea food more than I could ever imagine. Even when I'm studying in IIFT I like cooking Andhra delicacies with fish which help me balance my diet with protein, vitamins and minerals, as the meat contains less saturated fat.

One significant challenge I faced was at the start of my career in my undergraduate college. I was in a dilemma of choosing between appearing for a core profile interview or a sales profile interview. It was at that time that I got placed in Think and Learn pvt Ltd. Everyone was confused whether to congratulate me or not as this was a a very difficult job in the sales profile.

I took the decision of attending the 6 month rigorous internship in my 8th semester. The job had a hectic profile and required confidence as we had to speak to Parents who were usually concerned about their kids studies. The daily call time had to be more than 2.5 hours. The main Obstacle was to figure out how do I contribute and grow as an individual along with the firm. Hence I took up a pilot project named infinite campaign. It had a uncertain pitch which had to be re iterated a number of times to get the right information regarding the kids studying habits. This information helped the on field counsellors maximise the sales by showing the relevance of the Byjus course to the kids.

I worked on the project for 2 months talking to kids and their parents from Delhi perfecting the pitch for the campaign. I had to Understand different kinds of people ,their spending capability and their mindset towards their kid’s education to achieve the end result for the team. My results in the pilot project was rewarded with expansion and a team of 30 people was assigned with me to work on it.
