Now, just one day is left before your CAT exam. Anxiety and fear are now your constant companions. Your heart must be saying, "Let's attempt 10 more questions of Quants and DILR or let's give a VARC sectional," whereas your brain says, "Let's sit down and watch a movie and keep yourself calm; there's nothing much you can do."

Well, that's true—there's nothing much you can do or should be doing.

Basically, you have done everything, and honestly, a single day's preparation won't make a big difference. Even if you go for your "last lap," you will end up burning yourself out, and at this stage, you can't afford that.

Do's and Don'ts before CAT Exam

Don'ts:

1) Give a Thumbs Down to Mocks:

Well, there's no point in attempting a mock test just before your actual exam.

Pushing yourself too hard just before the exam can be counterproductive. This is the day when you should avoid last-moment burnout, as it could impair your performance.

Instead, focus on keeping yourself relaxed and centered, and try to forget about the result.

2) Don't Start New Topics:

You should avoid learning new topics just a day before your exam. It will do more harm than good, and you may end up more frustrated.

3) Avoid Unnecessary Discussions:

Discussing your emotions with your friends is a good thing and helps in calming yourself, but try to avoid discussions that are unnecessary and unfruitful, like "what minimum percentage to target" or "number of questions to attempt in each section." These discussions can have a negative impact on your mind.

4) Avoid Strategy Videos:

You will find a lot of "Strategy Videos for the CAT D-Day" where they explain how you can attain a maximum percentile just by attempting "x" number of questions, etc. Don't pay attention to any these videos.

Do's:

There are a few important things you should do just a day before your exam:

1) Have a Good Sleep:

A good sleep of 7-8 hours is really necessary for your body. It helps in memory retention and enhances your focus and concentration.

Due to exam stress and anxiety, you may find it difficult to sleep, but try to hit your bed as early as possible so that you enter your exam hall with a fresh mind.

2) Revision:

During your CAT journey, you must have prepared a formula book for your Quants and DILR. Revise all the formulas and shortcuts. Go through all your notes.

3) Positive Talk:

Indulge in positive talks with your fellow CAT aspirants and boost each other's morale and motivation.

4) Just Relax:

Watch your favourite movies or web series. Listen to your favourite music. Basically, do everything that helps you stay calm and keep yourself relaxed.

Just take a chill pill!

You all have worked really hard, and now it's your day to shine!

Wishing all the aspirants all the best!
