PART A: DREAM of a Father
I remember the day when my father started building our house. It was his personal dream project to build his house. Not only him, but our entire family was emotionally involved in his project.
I remember the day when he contacted the contractor for discussing what type of cement we are going to use, and he was very clear that it should be one which we can trust, it should be a brand that understands what it is for a middle-class man to build his house. He was very clear on paying, even if he must pay a premium to build a strong foundation for his house.
We researched on our own and took suggestions from our contractor and found out that, ULTRA TECH is just the product, which has made millions of dreams like ours come true. We decided to go with ULTRA TECH and 12 years have passed to this day and we have never needed repair in our home. My dad had tears when he was able to build our home with his hard work, integrity, commitment and passion which are also the values of ULTRA TECH CEMENT – The Engineer’s choice. That was the day I started believing and trusting everything which Aditya Birla Group built or made.
And that was day when our family started building our trust in Ultra tech and even today with our house and the 123 shares we bought over the years, it’s giving us good returns. And let me tell you, Trust which we have over Ultra Tech and Aditya Birla wasn’t build overnight, we took a leap of faith and it took years of deliverance from their side to make it solid, to make it into something beautiful.
But the story is not over yet and Aditya Birla came back into our life once again to complete the full circle from father to son.
PART B: DREAM of a Son
We don’t grow when things are easy; we grow when we face challenges. And that is what exactly happened when I moved from a pre-determined path to do something different, something which I liked and something which was less traditional. This is the thing which I learned from my father, who is my hero, when he was building our home and had faced lot of problems but found the right fit with right decisions.
It was in March of 2016, I had already worked for almost 8 months in programming and testing domain as a software engineer. This was what I was supposed to do, after did my engineering in computer science and then got a job in IT sector in August of 2015. But, something different happened in March of 2016, when an opportunity came to change my domain, to move into digital marketing domain in the same company.
It was an unexplored field for me but that was something which I always wanted to do, which always fascinated and interested me. I overcame my fear of not knowing and started preparing for a new challenge in my life, to move out of my comfort zone. I had one week to prepare for the final interview. I studied and learned on my own using digital resources and with my passion towards that domain, I got through.
There, on every turn I faced a new challenge from learning the new CRM tool (Salesforce) to doing new and interesting digital marketing campaigns for my company. I needed to improve and optimize the process on every new campaign. I not only pushed myself hard but achieved all of that. At last, I was appreciated by my in-line manager and my team. I was awarded the best employee award by the company in May 2018.
By that point, I became more confident and ambitious. I took another opportunity in my life and gave CAT in December 2017 to reach closer to my ambition and earn a name for myself in this big world. I scored more than 90 percentile and took one admission in one of the best colleges in the country, IMI-D to achieve my dream.
And Here, I took another opportunity to take part in Aditya Birla Competition, the competition of the company where my father puts his trust over an decade ago and now it was my turn to trust them and work hard to achieve my goals and dreams with it.
