Aditya Birla Group is a big and important part of our lives. It is impossible to imagine someone not using its products. We don’t realise but we are surrounded by Aditya Birla Group everywhere. Be it Ultra Tech Cement which is the number one cement company in India and thus is a part of the roads we walk on or the buildings we stay or work in. The clothes and brands that we love to flaunt are housed at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail and the collection includes the best brands from over the world like Allen Solly, Van Heusen Forever 21, Louis Philippe to name a few. From a financial services provider to the biggest telecom network in India, from aluminium to textile, from chemical to paper, the ubiquitous influence of Aditya Birla Group is felt by all.

The reason why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life lies in the core mission of the business which is to be “premium global conglomerate with a clear focus on each of the businesses.” ABG stands apart and dominates each of our lives so distinctly well because of the attention to detail and catering to customer satisfaction in each industry they are a part of and each company they run. The company has dominance across 14 industrial sectors and runs so many companies, each managed most efficiently and outgoing in the way it understands its stakeholder, evolving and adapting continuously and giving customers new stories to tell and new experiences to share. The management and leadership team of ABG and all its employees believe in excellence in all their endeavors.

ABG is big and dauntless. The Group has always strived to put India’s dominance on the global map and to me, that is what makes it the biggest of all. The fact that the company is in the league of Fortune 500 companies and has a global footprint with Indian roots and belief; it is the flag bearer for India’s outreach and reputation in the world.

Being from a small town, I had always been low on confidence due to the lack of opportunities. While preparing for engineering entrance examinations along with my class 12 exams, I felt the need for a good coaching institute which was not present in my hometown. It was then that my parents told me to work hard and put in my best efforts without thinking of the results. I studied hard and managed to clear IIT-JEE and managed to get admission in NIT Surat. This boosted my confidence and strengthened my belief in the saying that “Hard work always pays off” and I have never looked back since then. I have tried to back myself and my strengths to believe that nothing in this world is unachievable if one is working hard enough for it. I had decided to pursue MBA while I was working at Larsen & Toubro. However, it was tough to convince my parents as they were of the opinion that it didn’t make sense to leave a well-paying job. It took time but ultimately they got convinced. I managed to get a good score and am currently a student at MDI, Gurgaon. Now when I look back at the past, I don’t have any regrets and I think that no decision is right or wrong. Its we who through our actions make a decision right.
