“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Fear is a feeling which many experiences but a few overcome. In life, I have feared a lot of things and every time I had this feeling which used to stop my senses, force me to doubt my capabilities, I would run away from the situation. In due course of time, I realized that running away would bargain my time but the fear would still prevail in me which I couldn’t get rid off. The journey of fighting every fear and doing things which helped me get out of fear is fascinating and a story would better explain the journey, A small instance of how I fought one of my biggest fear is what I am talking about. an

I had fear of public speaking and it was so dreadful for me that I couldn’t even speak in class in front of 40 friends. I always shivered during giving my answers and fumbled every time I had to speak in front of everyone. So, I read somewhere that face your fear to fight your fear and I felt like I have a weapon which will be my life saver. Though initially, it was very difficult, I always wanted to run and get the temporary relief from my fear. To implement the weapon of facing the fear I started taking part in a competition during my school days which I couldn’t skip and I had to face everyone. Initially, the 3 speaks were horrible and I did nothing but fumbled and didn’t excel in the motive. In 12th standard when I enrolled for a competition to speak on sustainability there was some sort of magic that helped me. I prepared like every time but this time I was confident and I was able to speak. I secured no place but I had this confidence-building mechanism started inside me. This was the turning point after which I never stopped and during my college, I did a talk addressing 400 school students of the 12th standard on Entrepreneurship. The feedback from this seminar made me believe that the entire process of facing your fear was worth the risk.
