The day before it was pouring in the city. One needed to only look outside his window to see the disruption that was ongoing. People left their homes for work but somehow they already knew it would be futile. Everyone began what they always do these days when one gets bored – passing time with their mobile phones. Funnily enough that what I was going through when suddenly I realised that this would be impossible without the internet and telecom providers. Aditya Birla Group is an integral and important member of that group. The ABG owns and controls many subsidiaries in many different ventures and sectors. Someway or the other they have infinitely shaped my life at some point of time.
The first time I realised this was when I was in my engineering college. I was elated and excited to begin my higher education in an institute as prestigious as Birla Institute of Technology and Science. Only when I secured admission I realised that it was an initiative started by the Birla family which run the ABG. Also the beautiful campuses and the level of education provided along with the exposure students get to the different walks of life was overseen by the ABG under the leadership of KM Birla. The level of commitment shown by this organization towards the important goal of education as a societal value of utmost importance is commendable and surely worthy of recognition. I hope that this organisation continues to be leader of excellence in all walks of life.
