This is a short story about me (Mani Venkatesh), the infamous Aditya Birla Group and the unparalleled association between us. I come from an upper middle-class family where my father had a dream to nurture and safeguard me by providing me with all the necessary resources and a healthy environment to lead a happy life.
Though a decade ago, it feels just like yesterday where I remember going to the Peter England store with my father for the first time, to buy my first set of formal shirt and trousers for a public event conducted at my school. When I asked my father why he chose only that shop, he would smile and say, “My son, you are a king ready to take on the world and learn its way. I want you to look like one”. Though he was exaggerating there was something special about it. I went to that event wearing a sense of commitment and pride that my father put on me.
A few years forward, after I received my first stipend for my internship, I took my father to the very same store to buy him a pair of shirts. The shine in his eyes and the happiness on his face made every rupee and every second of time that I have spent, totally worth it. It was a circle of life. Aditya Birla group was touching my life so much more than I could ever imagine.
Also, to mention, while undergoing my internship, it was my first time away from home and away from my parents. If it was not for Idea Cellular services which let me see my parents daily on video call, I would have been a lost soul, living far away from them. It was then when I realised the value of these services and thus, I never took technology and services for granted from then.
The last but not the least, my father had this dream of building his own house, where we could live happily and comfortably like one of those families in the Bollywood movies. Aditya Birla Capital made this wish come true. With the help of their financial assistance we not only built a beautiful house with the strength of Ultratech cement but also bought a new car. A palace and a chariot of my dreams. I felt even closer to this organisation than ever before.
The only thing left was, for me to give something in return to this organisation. So, I am writing this article now, to show my appreciation and gratitude for all the services that it has provided and is still providing to me and many more like me. If it reaches them and if it could bring a smile on their face, then it would mean the world to me.
