CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC!
Never satisfied with my wardrobe, half of which is owe to Forever 21, is me, a shopaholic. One thing I do even before brushing is check by my favorite sites for the new deals I must have missed through the night. That’s exactly what it is, scroll through my phone, keep dropping items in my bag and finally get them home. Now, how Aditya Birla, indirectly almost saved my life was through its two brands, Van Heusen and Forever 21.
So, let me tell you a story. As an MBA student, I understood the importance of Formal Clothing. It was my second day in college and I was an amateur to its ways and means. At 10 in the morning, I reached college for my first ever Guest Lecture. I was really excited as I had never experienced something like this, and so, I wore my Best Formals, or so I thought. It did not even take a minute for my seniors to prove me wrong. I was informed that the shirt I was wearing would not be allowed and would attract serious penalties, which I was definitely not looking for on my first Guest Lecture. I was in deep soup, I realized. For the first time, my wardrobe did not have an answer. I went frantic on my phone looking for a suitable replacement. It took me hardly 10 minutes and there it was! The nearest Van Heusen store was right around the corner. I did not waste a minute. I got myself a “real” formal shirt. I rushed back to college just in time for my lecture. God bless Van Heusen!
And Forever 21 has never failed to impress me. Hardly has it happened that I come out of a store without any purchase. It has always saved me from being under-dressed in my end-moment plans.
Maybe not that big for you, but an apt dress code for every occasion is very important for me. So, I’ll earn to Shop!
GO WITH THE FLOW!
What maters the most is your Perception. Some people consider them to be a riddle to solve. Some consider them to be a chance to develop. Others consider them to be obstacles. Still others consider them as contribution to their failure. Your perspective of boundaries to accomplishing your objectives influences how you respond. There's a quote from Frank Clark, "If you find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn't lead anywhere. “. We are altogether molded with what analysts call "The Negativity Bias." Unfortunately, our mind has a characteristic tendency to concentrate on dangers and threats. To devastate this transformative development, during your time focus around what is positive about your general surroundings. Discover motivations to value everything around you.
Adaptability and flexibility are what that keeps me going. Blending in the new environment, for me helps me have that positive attitude towards all the challenges I face from time to time. Once I know the way things work in a particular setting, I do things accordingly that helps me to have a smoother journey. A flexible personality is available to new thoughts and new arrangements. Comprehending what doesn't work to get you to your objective enables you to consider alternatives that may work. Discovering that the way you initially picked doesn't work is frustrating, but at least you know what doesn't work. That is important.
Another thing important for me is not Worrying about the potential result which is usually what makes a mountain of a molehill. When you move your concentration to the thing you're really doing, rather than the outcome, the scariest pieces of the preliminary begin to vanish. When you attach feelings to the issue, it has control over you. On the off chance that you open mindedly go with the flow, you have control over the situation.
These are the a few aspects that keeps my sun rising. Celebrate your successes, build a motivating friend circle and travel. This always helps.
