“Opportunities don’t happen. You create them.” – Chris Grosser
What once started as a small-scale venture in a village called Pilani, became one of the most priced conglomerates the nation has ever seen. Aditya Birla Group, the bricks of which were laid back in the 1850s by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla, today boasts revenues of over $44 billion. From cement to carbon black, textile to telecom, ABG has proven to be jack of all trades, and the master of all.
Like any other enterprise, ABG has seen its fair share of highs and lows. Writing this article, I can not only relate to the core values associated with the franchise of Aditya Birla Group, but can proudly announce my connection to the brand name, that is ABG.
The Ingenious Aditya Birla Group as a slice of my life
For the very first time in the twenty-two years of my life, I decided to pursue further education from a place 2340 kilometres away from what I call home. Throughout the entire journey full of ups and downs, the only constant in this unstable equation called life has been my parents and the Aditya Birla Group. Through ABGs Vodafone and its high-speed data services I am so far, yet so close to home, as if I’m virtually there, right beside my mother, via crystal clear video calls.
I still remember the last few days me and my parents spent shopping, recollecting and remembering every last detail of the list that still wasn’t done away with. Those trips to Pantaloons are one of my most cherished memories, when we used to try out clothes until the very last moment that the store was open. Purchasing formal business suits became a feeble chore because of the ease of their availability in Allen Solly and Van Heusen.
Whilst everyone else strives, ABG succeeds
Aditya Birla Group not of strives to make its consumers happy, but they are one of the most eco-friendly corporations in India. Every individual experiences joy and peace around and amongst nature, ABG, through their sustainable business network, prove to be the best at what they profess. At one of the questions at my interview sessions, it was only ABG that popped up in my mind when talking of taking initiative in the field of eco-friendly living.
Today, as an aspiring business person, I can truly commend the hard work put up by the numerous employees at ABG who have left no stones unturned to make our lives easier and simpler. ABG has been a part of my life from the very moment I opened my eyes and everywhere I wander off, like an atom of my existence, Aditya Birla Group is always a part of my life, for better or for worse.
